Requirements
Must:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Systems, or a related discipline.
- Proficiency in object-oriented software development using C/C++ on Linux.
- Experience with embedded real-time software, along with debugging and testing skills.
- Familiarity with RTOS environments such as VxWorks, Integrity, LynxOS, or Yocto Linux.
- A thorough understanding of the full software development lifecycle.
- Strong communication skills.
- An active DoD Secret security clearance that has been investigated within the last five years.
- Solid problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
Responsibilities
- You will be joining Northrop Grumman’s dynamic team as an Embedded Software Engineer, where you will play a vital role in developing advanced systems that influence national security and technological advancement.
- This position allows you to work on groundbreaking projects within the Strike Weapons Program, focusing on software development for real-time embedded systems.
- Collaboration is key as you will work on-site in Chandler, AZ, with a multidisciplinary team that is committed to engineering excellence.
Description
- While not mandatory, the following skills would be advantageous: experience with PowerPC, ARM, or RISC-V architectures; knowledge of design, integration, and testing in hardware-in-the-loop settings; and experience with interface development for weapon system integration. - We prefer candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and relevant embedded software experience, especially those who have previously worked in defense or related industries. - Please note that telecommuting is not an option; on-site work is required, along with potential travel of up to 10%.
