Requirements
Must:
- Strong proficiency in Java and/or C++
- Experience with software development best practices, including version control, testing, and code reviews
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming principles
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and effective communication abilities
- Secret security clearance is required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering or development
- Bachelors or Masters degree in computer science or software engineering
- Willingness to be onsite in the Reston, VA area as needed
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain applications using C++ and Java
- Write clean, efficient, and thoroughly documented code
- Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to establish requirements
- Debug, optimize, and enhance existing systems
- Engage in code reviews and contribute to the establishment of best practices
- (Optional/Preferred) Develop or support modeling, simulation, or analytical workflows
