Requirements
Must:
- Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in designing and developing data platforms in large-scale, complex settings.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python.
- Familiarity with Redshift and Postgres.
- Experience with AWS technologies such as Kinesis, Firehose, and Glue.
- Knowledge of cloud storage solutions like S3.
- Skills in orchestrating data ingestion and syncing metadata with event data.
- Background in ETL processes aimed at facilitating reporting for business users (such as marketing, finance, and product management).
- Preferred: Recognized degree in computer science or relevant technical certification.
- Preferred: 8 years of relevant experience in complex data platform design and development.
- Preferred: Familiarity with Tableau and Tableau Server.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all components of the data and analytics system, including stream configuration, ETL processes, and the establishment of aggregate tables and cubes for reporting.
- Collaborate with various departments, including development, operations, and data consumers, to build and sustain relationships with stakeholders, understanding their needs and translating them into actionable priorities.
- Develop scripts to manage data ingestion and synchronization.
- Lead backend logic creation to establish data marts based on stakeholder requirements for self-service purposes.
- Guide junior team members in code creation, troubleshooting issues, and serving as the first point of escalation support.
- Work with data architects to construct the framework for data search and retrieval.
- Identify necessary design modifications and communicate these to the data architects.
- Perform other assigned duties as needed.
