Requirements
Must:
- I require a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- I am looking for a minimum of 7 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 2 years spent in a leadership position or in threat hunting and threat intelligence.
- Preference will be given to candidates with 10 years of experience in cybersecurity, including at least 4 years in a leadership role or in threat hunting and threat intelligence.
- I need candidates to hold relevant licenses or certifications such as CISSP, GCIA, GCIH, GCDA, or equivalents.
Responsibilities
- I will lead the development and fine-tuning of SIEM rules, integrations, and SOAR workflows.
- I will be responsible for architecting and maintaining the SIEM infrastructure, optimizing detection logic, and boosting alert accuracy.
- I will design and implement SOAR playbooks and automate enrichment and repetitive tasks.
- I will monitor SIEM performance, ensure log coverage, maintain compliance, and perform detection gap analysis.
- I will collaborate with IT, DevOps, and cloud teams, provide training to staff, and present metrics and updates.
- I will lead engineering teams, define the SIEM roadmap, and encourage cross-functional collaboration.
Description
I am seeking a proactive Cyber Engineering Manager to guide our SIEM engineering team, focusing on correlation rule development, threat detection, and security automation. This position demands a technically skilled leader who will not only contribute to engineering initiatives but also pinpoint opportunities for enhancing our overall security detection and response program. The ideal individual will merge extensive technical knowledge with a strategic vision to promote ongoing improvement in our cybersecurity capabilities.
