Requirements
Must:
- Education: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: A minimum of 7 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 2 years in a leadership position or focused on vulnerability management. Preferred experience includes 10 years in cybersecurity, with a minimum of 4 years in a leadership capacity or vulnerability management.
- Licenses/Certifications: Possession of CISSP, CISM, OSCP, GIAC, or an equivalent certification.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of vulnerability management tools such as Tenable, Wiz, and Armis. Demonstrated practical experience with vulnerability management and application security techniques. Familiarity with CVSS, MITRE ATT&CK, and threat modeling is essential. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container security is also required. Excellent communication, analytical, and project management abilities are necessary.
Responsibilities
In this role, I will lead the scanning, assessment, prioritization, remediation coordination, and management of security tools (e.g., Tenable, Wiz, Armis). I will integrate security throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), conduct SAST/DAST/SCA scans, model threats, collaborate on secure coding practices, and oversee bug bounty management. Additionally, I will identify gaps in our security processes, implement automation solutions, enhance current practices, and stay up-to-date with emerging threats and technologies. I will also be responsible for developing dashboards to monitor remediation progress, track vulnerability trends, and assess our risk posture. Ensuring compliance with OWASP, NIST, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, and other relevant frameworks will be crucial as well. I aim to mentor staff, lead a team of analysts and engineers, and promote growth and collaboration within my team.
