Requirements
Must:
- Extensive experience as an AS/400 Synon Developer
- Proficient in CA/2E (Synon) and COBOL on AS400 platforms
- Background in the healthcare or pharmacy sectors, such as RxClaim, Walgreens, Walgreens, Express Scripts, or OptumRx
- In-depth understanding of Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) systems
- Strong analytical skills to interpret technical and functional requirements
- Proven ability to mentor and lead development teams
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and continuous integration processes
Responsibilities
- Analyze, interpret, and clarify functional and technical requirements
- Collaborate with business, capability, and product teams to enhance requirements and deliver effective solutions
- Engage in hands-on coding and provide technical leadership using Synon (CA/2E), COBOL, and AS400 technologies
- Mentor and guide development teams operating in both onshore and offshore contexts
- Design and optimize essential PBM functionalities, including adjudication, pricing, accumulators, MED D pricing, benefit plan setup, and patient payment processes
- Actively participate in Agile/Scrum development practices, fostering continuous improvement
- Lead initiatives to refine, modernize, and optimize current applications
- Coordinate with clients for requirement clarification, solution design, and project status updates
