Requirements
Must:
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience demonstrating senior-level impact
- Proven history of rapidly delivering production features in environments where speed is crucial
- Strong full-stack engineering expertise, capable of contributing in both frontend and backend areas
- Extensive experience with at least one modern frontend framework and one backend language used in production
- Proficient in relational databases, vector databases, API design, and production-level debugging
- Experience in making architectural decisions without overly complex processes
- Comfortable working in security-sensitive and operationally intricate environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in articulating tradeoffs and driving decisions
Responsibilities
- Deliver significant customer-facing features swiftly within the Pillars Platform and Pillars Local AI ecosystem
- Take ownership of technical challenges from inception to completion, including requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and post-release stabilization
- Navigate across the technology stack as necessary, especially where frontend, APIs, data, and AI features converge
- Make product decisions that balance rapid delivery, quality, and long-term maintainability
- Identify and eliminate obstacles that hinder feature delivery through practical tooling and automation
- Review critical code and technical designs to maintain high standards without causing delays
- Enhance release quality for both internet-connected and isolated deployments
- Translate prototypes, concepts, and customer feedback into production-ready features with defined scopes and tradeoffs
- Effectively utilize contractors or specialists to expedite delivery or address expertise gaps
- Ensure sufficient documentation and decision records are maintained to prevent dependency on individual memory
