VP, Solution Architecture - APIs - Dallas

- Lead as the Train Architect for the API Shared Services Agile Release Train, ensuring architectural integrity and successful delivery of API solutions - Collaborate with other teams and ARTs to align API strategies and architectures for timely program deliveries - Define and implement scalable, secure, and high-performing API architectures for both internal systems and external partners - Develop and standardize reusable API design patterns and best practices across the organization - Oversee the API lifecycle, including design, development, deployment, versioning, monitoring, and retirement - Act as the application owner for Synchronys API Gateway (Apigee) and Developer Portal, enhancing platform functionalities and security - Continuously improve the developer experience by integrating innovative platform capabilities - Lead the strategic adoption of API tooling such as Postman Enterprise and SmartBears API Hub, facilitating efficient workflows across the organization - Cultivate and evolve a centralized API Center of Excellence to provide governance, standards, training, and advisory services - Manage and mentor a team of API Engagement Engineers and consultants to ensure high-quality API delivery - Foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement through Agile/SAFe practices - Partner with business leaders and technical teams to ensure API compliance with organizational standards and security policies - Define and enforce API governance and security policies, working with security teams to mitigate vulnerabilities
