Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree or a minimum of 2 years of experience in solution architecture, or a High School Diploma/GED with 4 years of experience in solution architecture in lieu of a degree. - At least 2 years of experience in web application development. - Proven expertise in building and utilizing web services via REST. - Familiarity with continuous integration environments. - Experience in writing unit, integration, and UI test cases. - Strong understanding of responsive web design principles and cross-device support. - Significant experience with Pivotal Cloud Foundry. - Proficient in using Splunk for production support. - Knowledge of JSON, REST, and XML-based web services. - Insight into the mobile industry. - Excellent technical communication skills with both technical and non-technical peers. - Strong collaboration skills, capable of working across a matrix organization with global development teams. - Eagerness to thrive in a dynamic, rapid-paced environment. - Background in developing and supporting financial or banking applications. - Exceptional interpersonal skills with an ability to influence clients, team members, management, and external groups. - Attention to detail within a team setting. - Strong oral and written communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. - Aptitude for analysis, structured problem solving, and utilizing tools to diagnose systems, determine root causes, and implement resolutions.

Responsibilities

- Lead and influence multiple agile development teams throughout all phases of the Agile development life cycle using SAFE methodology. - Implement and support the transition to new technologies for our developers. - Architect applications across the full stack, including experience in AWS, PCF, Cloud Native Application Architecture, Microservices, Spring Java, and RESTful APIs. - Design data models to facilitate complex business processes. - Create responsive frontends with React. - Drive a CI/CD strategy utilizing our Jenkins, Bitbucket, and uDeploy stack. - Collaborate with software developers, UX designers, product managers, application architects, and customer application experts to create outstanding web applications. - Mentor and influence team members at all levels, impacting the command chain effectively. - Ensure adherence to architecture, security, and technological standards established by Synchrony Financial. - Assist in defining and maintaining the future technology architecture strategy, as well as our application modernization and migration plan. - Participate actively in Agile scrums involving cross-functional teams. - Lead Agile sprints as a technical expert, overseeing sprint planning, daily standups, backlog grooming sessions, and sprint reviews. - Ensure the quality of application code throughout the development, testing, and QA phases. - Engage in root cause analyses, incident reports, and provide guidance for problem resolution. - Analyze production defects, troubleshoot systems, identify root causes, and implement necessary fixes. - Stay updated on the latest technologies, open-source projects, and programming languages. - Provide periodic 24x7 on-call support throughout the year. - Seek ways to enhance efficiency and boost system performance. - Collaborate with third-party vendors to develop software and/or integrate their solutions into our offerings. - Be prepared to travel for business as required.
