Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field with 3-5 years of experience in Modern Application Development, or 5-7 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
- At least 3 years of experience in API development using Apigee or similar API Gateway product
- Proficient in Java Spring, Node.js, REST, SOAP, and Swagger Hub (JSON/YAML)
- Strong background in Agile application development and tools like JIRA and Bitbucket
- Experience with continuous integration tools, especially Jenkins
- Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical colleagues
- Effective cross-functional collaborator in a matrix organization
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
- Capable of analyzing and troubleshooting systems effectively
- Keen interest in learning diverse business sectors and technologies
- Quick to grasp new technologies and frameworks
Responsibilities
- Advocate for best practices in API development across multiple teams
- Teach teams how to leverage our suite of API development tools effectively
- Provide architectural guidance for API and application development, enhancing understanding of the API Gateway
- Promote best practices in Microservice and SOA application development
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource for RESTful API development
- Learn Synchronys domains to assist teams in elevating their APIs for enterprise and market readiness
- Participate in additional assigned tasks and special projects
