Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience with PLCs, preferably Allen-Bradley, focusing on diagnostics and troubleshooting.
- Minimum 1 year of experience with VFDs, including diagnosing speed, torque, and drive-related challenges.
- At least 1 year of experience with AC and DC motors.
- Practical experience with automated systems such as conveyor systems, belts, vertical lifts, and motor-driven equipment.
- Experience with autonomous or semi-autonomous systems, including conveyors, lifts, AS/RS, robotics, servo motors, or 480V systems.
- Familiarity with SQL, Python, and Linux for diagnostics, log review, and system interaction.
- Proficient in assembling, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting robotics and electro-mechanical systems.
- Preferred background in maintenance engineering, automation maintenance, or lead maintenance technician roles.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and ensure the health of automated systems, including conveyors, lifts, robotic vehicles, motors, sensors, and PLC-controlled equipment.
- Execute advanced electrical, mechanical, and automation troubleshooting to address production-impacting issues.
- Analyze failures across PLCs (Allen-Bradley), VFDs, AC/DC motors, servo motors, sensors, and associated hardware.
- Support and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on automated machinery.
- Leverage system data, alarms, logs, and dashboards to detect fault conditions and recurrent problems.
- Document maintenance activities, repairs, and findings through CMMS systems (e.g., Maximo) and internal tools.
- Serve as a senior technical escalation point during system disruptions or downtime occurrences.
- Collaborate with onsite maintenance, operations, and technical teams to restore and stabilize system functionality.
- Provide technical guidance and hands-on support to maintenance technicians and operators.
- Step in to assist with critical onsite technical functions as necessary to sustain operational continuity.
- Ensure adherence to OSHA, LOTO, electrical safety, and Symbotic safety standards.
