Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or a related field
- Over 5 years of relevant IT experience
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks
- Proven experience with encryption, system and network security, cloud security, and identity management
- Solid understanding of security tools, such as SIEM systems, firewalls, and anti-malware solutions
- Working knowledge of major cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Experience with security assessment methodologies and penetration testing
- Demonstrated ability to identify risks and create effective mitigation plans
- Knowledge of security legislation and regulations, particularly PCI and Privacy
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and ability to think creatively to address complex challenges
- Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment as a contributing member of a high-performance team
- Security certifications such as CISSP, GCIH, CISM, or equivalent are advantageous
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and support secure systems that align with business goals and comply with regulations
- Develop, implement, and uphold security policies, standards, and best practices to ensure compliance and enhance security posture
- Architect, construct, and maintain security infrastructure to detect and respond to threats, including SIEM, DLP, IPS, and additional tools in action plan designs
- Manage security systems including provisioning, monitoring, and responding to incidents
- Provide on-call support for production incidents or issues that arise outside of regular business hours
- Proactively research emerging threats, test and evaluate mitigation technologies, and work with engineering teams for smooth deployments into production
- Enhance security posture through infrastructure management, threat analysis, and vulnerability mitigating efforts
- Collaborate with business leaders, project managers, and technical teams to integrate security considerations into all technology initiatives
- Carry out system patching, maintenance, and administration as required
