Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related discipline or 3-5 years of pertinent IT experience
- Basic understanding of networking concepts and system administration principles
- Familiarity with technologies including Cisco, Meraki, Nutanix, and Microsoft 365 (O365)
- Knowledge of scripting languages (PowerShell, batch, VBS) and tools such as PuTTY
- Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving aptitude
- Capacity to break down tasks, estimate time needed, and prioritize effectively
- Proficient in both verbal and written communication
- Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively in a team
- Openness to maintaining flexible hours, including nights and weekends, and willingness to travel when necessary
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain servers, workstations, software, and hardware
- Oversee and support network and infrastructure technologies such as Cisco, Meraki, and other related tools
- Manage and administer Nutanix hyper-converged environments
- Create, maintain, and audit user accounts, permissions, and groups
- Monitor system performance, reliability, and capacity in both on-premises and cloud settings
- Administer and provide support for Microsoft 365 (O365) services such as Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and Azure AD
- Ensure security and operational uptime through access controls, patch management, backups, and firewall oversight
- Develop and maintain system documentation and standard operating procedures
- Assist in IT project planning and execution
- Protect confidential and proprietary company data
- Ensure availability and proper functionality of production applications
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues promptly
- Perform routine maintenance and assist with escalations for core infrastructure components
- Communicate clearly and professionally with internal teams, leadership, and vendors
- Be available for on-call support, maintenance, upgrades, or emergencies during nights and weekends
- Travel as needed for remote site support, installations, or project deployments
- Perform other duties as assigned
