Principal Backend Engineer (Java, Python)

- Develop comprehensive software architecture solutions using modern frameworks and design patterns that meet scalability, performance, and maintainability criteria. - Facilitate discussions on system design for high-traffic applications, ensuring a resilient architecture for business-critical services. - Assess, propose, and implement architectural enhancements to improve scalability, observability, and resilience. - Establish and maintain best practices for code quality, security, accessibility, and adherence to data privacy regulations. - Lead intricate, cross-functional projects from inception through to implementation, aligning engineering solutions with business requirements. - Collaborate with product and business teams to articulate the technical vision and ensure coherent project delivery. - Supervise the technical rollout of new features and services, ensuring optimal use of system resources and infrastructure. - Construct and sustain distributed systems utilizing Spring Boot microservices, Docker, and Kubernetes. - Design and fine-tune high-performance databases using MySQL and Oracle, focusing on indexing and performance optimization. - Implement and oversee Redis for caching, Eureka Server for service registration, and the ELK Stack for monitoring and data analysis. - Configure Nginx and Apache for effective load balancing and high availability within production systems. - Manage and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins for automated builds, testing, and deployment. - Secure system health and stability through proactive monitoring, logging, and alerting strategies. - Spearhead advancements in deployment automation, infrastructure as code, and site reliability practices. - Serve as a technical advisor and mentor, assisting in the development of engineers skills in architecture, design, and problem-solving strategies. - Execute code and design reviews to uphold engineering quality standards. - Collaborate effectively with senior leadership and stakeholders from various departments to influence company-wide technological initiatives. - Promote a culture of innovation, accountability, and ownership throughout the engineering division.
