Requirements
Must:
- Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- 3–5 years of experience in IT support, ideally within a manufacturing context
- Practical experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
- Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI and data visualization/reporting
- Familiarity with AI tools, automation platforms, or data analytics solutions is advantageous
- Solid understanding of Windows environments, Microsoft 365, and Active Directory
- Fundamental networking knowledge (LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, VPN)
- Experience in supporting ERP systems and integrating business applications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Capacity to comprehend manufacturing processes (inventory, production, supply chain)
- Enthusiasm for emerging technologies, including AI and automation
- Excellent communication skills, able to interact with both technical and non-technical users
- Customer-service oriented with a practical approach
Responsibilities
- Provide first-level technical assistance for hardware, software, and network problems across the facility and office
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and technology on the shop floor
- Support the network infrastructure including servers, switches, and wireless connectivity
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to reduce downtime, particularly in production settings
- Assist with daily operations within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, including resolving user issues and system errors
- Help configure the ERP system, manage user setup, and administer permissions
- Collaborate with finance, operations, and supply chain teams to maintain data integrity and correct system usage
- Support upgrades, integrations, and improvements of the ERP system
- Coordinate with external ERP consultants or vendors as necessary
- Maintain and support dashboards and reports in Microsoft Power BI
- Assist in generating reports related to production, inventory, sales, and financial performance
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency between the ERP and reporting tools
- Aid business users in accessing and interpreting data for informed decision-making
- Support the assessment, testing, and adoption of AI tools and automation solutions for enhanced business processes
- Identify opportunities to utilize AI within ERP, reporting, and operational workflows (such as forecasting and anomaly detection)
- Assist in integrating AI capabilities within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and Microsoft Power BI when appropriate
- Collaborate with leadership and department heads to initiate AI-driven projects that improve productivity and decision-making
- Ensure AI solutions comply with data governance, security, and organizational policies
- Provide IT support for production-related systems, including shop floor data collection and equipment interfaces
- Assist with barcode scanning systems, labeling, and inventory tracking technologies
- Help guarantee the uptime and reliability of systems essential to manufacturing operations
- Maintain system security through updates, patches, antivirus, and access controls
- Support data backup and disaster recovery initiatives
- Ensure adherence to company IT policies and industry best practices
