Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Biomedical, Electrical Engineering preferred).
- Over 4 years of relevant experience.
- Proficient in advanced problem-solving techniques related to manufacturing or design challenges.
- Strong intuition and sound judgment for mechanical and structural design.
- Solid understanding of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and associated statistical and validation techniques.
- Familiarity with manufacturing methods, materials, and product and process design.
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, with a good grasp of geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing.
- Preferred experience in an FDA-regulated or similar industry.
Responsibilities
- Offer engineering support for new product and process introductions, ensuring compliance with Strykers development procedures.
- Guarantee quality of processes and products as per the defined operational and material specifications.
- Select components and equipment based on a thorough analysis of specifications, reliability, and compliance requirements.
- Possibly lead or assist in capital acquisition activities, including equipment specification, contract negotiation, installation, and validation.
- Analyze equipment to establish operational data, conduct experimental tests, and analyze results. Lead and/or participate in process review sessions.
- Engage in PFMEA, Control Plan, SOP, and PPAP development related to product transfers and launches.
- Perform capability studies for in-process inspections and generate relevant inspection documentation.
- Provide ongoing status updates, including periodic progress reviews and evaluation of outcomes to management.
- Conduct MSA studies for new products and processes.
- Deliver training to manufacturing team members.
- Ensure compliance with GMP and safety protocols.
- Review and approve validation documentation.
- Generate, adhere to, and explain detailed proposals and operational procedures (e.g., assembly instructions, inspection procedures, and capital project proposals).
- Analyze and resolve complex product or process issues with independent judgment.
- Routinely make decisions that impact immediate operations.
- Plan, organize, and execute multiple concurrent tasks efficiently.
