Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree required, or 6 additional years of professional experience in place of a degree.
- Over 6 years of relevant professional experience.
- Minimum of 5 years supporting HR or Workday native integrations.
- At least 3 years of practical experience with Workday integration, including design, development, and deployment.
- 3+ years of experience with system implementations, enhancements, or post-production optimization initiatives.
- Over 3 years in an enterprise HRIS environment, including integrations with platforms like ServiceNow, Active Directory, SSO, payroll providers, and other downstream systems.
- Experience with third-party payroll, benefits, or workforce management integrations preferred (e.g. ADP, UKG, Alight).
- Workday Pro certification(s) related to Integrations is advantageous.
- Deep understanding of cloud integration technologies, object-oriented data models, and API-centric architectures.
- Strong knowledge of HR data privacy, security, and regulatory considerations (e.g. PII, GDPR, Works Council).
- Experience managing global, multi-country production environments.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies (Kanban, Scrum) and change management processes.
- Proven capability to analyze complex requirements, evaluate risks and trade-offs, and design effective integration solutions with precision and detail.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand business needs and develop end-to-end solutions for HR functions, emphasizing the Workday Integration Cloud Platform.
- Provide advanced technical guidance for Workday integrations and influence design decisions.
- Establish and maintain strong collaborative relationships with various organizational areas including HR COEs, business-facing HR, Compliance, Finance, Audit, and internal/external Communications.
- Design, build, and maintain Workday-native integrations, including third-party payroll integrations, Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), Workday connectors, document transformations, Workday Orchestrate, Workday Studio, and Workday APIs & Web Services.
- Translate functional and business requirements into technical integration designs and propose optimal integration methods in line with Workday best practices and enterprise architecture standards.
- Evaluate integration options, identifying constraints and trade-offs, and present design recommendations to both business and technical stakeholders.
- Understand and foresee downstream impacts, dependencies, and risks across integrated systems.
- Manage integration implementation and release activities, including configuration, testing, deployment, and documentation across various tenant environments.
- Lead cutover initiatives, data validation, and post-production stabilization; serve as the primary contact for complex issues.
- Monitor integration performance, proactively seeking opportunities for optimization, troubleshooting failures, and resolving incidents.
- Forge and maintain strong connections with business personnel, HR teams, and act as a subject matter expert on current and future Workday capabilities.
- Partner with HR Product Owners, Business Analysis Managers, and Architects to align integrations with HR strategies and future architecture plans.
- Coordinate with IT, Security, and vendors on connectivity, certificates, data exchanges, and technical compliance standards.
