Senior Custom Test Systems Engineer - Mechanical

- Act as the main liaison for the design, development, and implementation of electro-mechanical test systems to support new medical device testing. - Establish system-level strategies for creating new custom testing equipment. - Collaborate extensively with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment. - Provide direction and establish engineering standards within the group. - Mentor and enhance the skills of junior engineers and team members. - Lead the gathering of Voice of the Customer (VOC) feedback from key stakeholders. - Develop project timelines and cost estimates. - Coordinate efforts with external vendors to ensure project completion. - Select appropriate test equipment and methodologies. - Design and fabricate prototypes to assess new concepts. - Contribute to the vision, scope, and specifications of future test systems. - Support all aspects of the test system development lifecycle including requirements gathering, design, implementation, debugging, verification, and validation. - Potentially oversee activities of one or more temporary staff members. - Produce reports on key performance metrics such as on-time delivery and efficiency, noting any testing schedule delays.
