Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Software, Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, or Biomedical Engineering.
- At least 8 years of relevant engineering experience.
- Strong background in digital system architecture, requirements decomposition, and verification.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards such as ISO 13485 and ISO 14971.
- Excellent communication abilities for cross-functional and inter-business cooperation.
- Proficiency with Requirements Management Software (e.g., Jama) is a plus.
- Experience with SysML and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) is preferred.
- Knowledge of applicable regulations and standards, including UL/CE requirements, IEC 60601-1, and IEC 62304 is beneficial.
- Understanding of medical device cybersecurity principles and practices is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Spearhead the design, development, and integration of multi-disciplinary medical device systems.
- Convert user requirements into system specifications and steer the architectural design.
- Oversee system integration and validation processes, ensuring adherence to compliance and performance standards.
- Mentor engineers and facilitate the resolution of intricate design issues.
- Foster technology innovation, prototyping, and intellectual property development.
- Work closely with both internal and external partners to synchronize technical strategies with clinical needs.
- Advocate for enhancements in engineering procedures, tools, and cross-team collaboration.
- Engage in Product Risk Management activities, identifying potential failures, mitigations, safety requirements, and safety-oriented design.
- Coordinate customer-facing initiatives like customer feedback and designs centered around customer needs across the organization.
- Contribute to financial and business modeling, supporting business evaluations to confirm a technical strategy.
