Requirements
Must:
- Over 5 years of experience in IT support, ideally within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment.
- Familiarity with the billable hours model.
- Experience with ticketing systems for work order management and documentation.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Enterprise and Desktop technologies, networking principles, and security best practices.
- Demonstrated troubleshooting, analytical, and customer service skills with the capability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Highly detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- A genuine interest in technology and a commitment to high-quality work.
- A valid BC Drivers License and the ability to access equipment at various locations.
Responsibilities
- Deliver advanced technical support for desktops, servers, networks, and applications in Windows and Linux environments.
- Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to Microsoft technologies (Active Directory, Exchange, Hyper-V, Office 365), networking (IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls), and enterprise solutions.
- Conduct proactive system monitoring, performance evaluations, backup confirmations, and maintenance for diverse client environments.
- Handle service tickets, document activities, maintain system records, and interact with clients to create customized solutions.
- Work collaboratively with the team on projects such as migrations, cybersecurity implementations, and onboarding new clients.
- Participate in our 24/7 on-call rotation for emergency support.
- Assist with hardware diagnostics, repairs, upgrades, and occasional travel to client locations.
