Requirements
Must:
- A minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in enterprise-scale software development.
- At least 4 years of direct experience in Python, Java, or Rust, with a focus on cloud-native software engineering.
- Proficient in transforming and managing large datasets, utilizing frameworks such as Pandas and Polars.
- Experience optimizing data operations, including but not limited to aggregations, transformations, clustering, partitioning, and various storage techniques.
- Familiarity with orchestrating data pipelines using frameworks like Temporal or Airflow.
- Proven experience in integrating with different cloud services, SaaS provider APIs, and various storage and data systems.
- A solid background in backend development, including working with REST APIs.
- Knowledge of big data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark, and EMR is advantageous.
- Understanding of DevOps methodologies, including Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD practices, and cloud-native development.
- Must be legally eligible to work full-time in Canada and reside in the Greater Toronto area.
Responsibilities
- Delight semi-technical users with our AI-enhanced low-code data engineering platform.
- Design systems for optimal performance using state-of-the-art open-source technologies.
- Manage data pipelines utilizing frameworks such as Temporal, Polars, and PRQL, while engaging with various storage formats and architecture.
- Integrate with numerous cloud services, APIs from SaaS providers, and different storage solutions.
- Develop, test, and implement solutions within cloud-native environments.
