- Experience in onboarding and mentoring developers and AI engineers
- Strong communication skills for engaging with business stakeholders
- Ability to align technical decisions with broader AI platform strategy and business goals
- Comfort in representing teams in technical discussions and architecture reviews
- Proficiency in communicating risks and technical constraints to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong background in cloud-native development and secure handling of service configurations
- Knowledgeable in CI/CD pipelines for AI systems and microservices
- Familiarity with team-based access control and repository governance practices
- Skilled in modern programming languages and infrastructure-as-code
- Experience managing API specifications and service integrations
- Knowledge of developing conversational agents and multi-agent systems
- Capable of orchestrating agent workflows and external data integration
- Understanding of retrieval-augmented generation patterns and scalable inference
- Familiarity with deployment model trade-offs, such as serverless vs. containerized
- Awareness of enterprise data privacy and cybersecurity standards
- Experience in handling user interactions and data visibility with compliance considerations
- Proficient in using observability tools for logging and performance monitoring
- Familiarity with API testing and authentication processes
Responsibilities
- Lead the daily development activities and technical decisions of the pod
- Translate product objectives into actionable implementation strategies and sprint goals
- Directly supervise developers and AI engineers, providing guidance and support
- Collaborate daily with global Engagement Leads during the discovery phase of initiatives
- Make informed technical design decisions and troubleshoot issues across teams
- Oversee code reviews and ensure consistent engineering practices
- Champion agile development, including sprint planning and backlog refinement
- Promote a culture of continuous learning, technical excellence, and experimentation
- Mentor and onboard new developers and AI engineers effectively
- Collaborate with business stakeholders when necessary to align on objectives
- Work closely with the Technical Chapter Lead to coordinate technical decisions with business strategies
- Represent the team in technical forums, showcases, and architecture evaluations
- Clearly articulate risks and technical constraints to non-technical audiences
- Provide timely updates to the Engagement Lead regarding technical decisions and stakeholder discussions
Description
We are seeking a very strong AWS full-stack developer/engineer to join our team as a tech lead. This role requires essential expertise in Python and AI, along with a proven ability to manage development teams and translate product goals into actionable tasks. Our team values collaboration and continuous improvement, and we are committed to fostering a culture that embraces technical excellence and growth. This initial six-month contract opportunity, based in Houston, offers a flexible hybrid work environment, combining onsite and remote work. Competitive pay is set between $100.00 - $130.00 per hour.
