Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or similar role
- Strong understanding of cloud and data platforms
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana and Prometheus
- Proficiency in defining and tracking SLIs and SLOs
- Familiarity with Terraform and automation scripting
- Hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure (VPC, EC2, S3, IAM, RDS, ELB, Route53)
- Excellent problem-solving skills, especially during production incidents
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across time zones
Responsibilities
- Oversee, manage, and enhance our cloud and data platforms during North America coverage hours
- Take part in a 24/7 on-call SRE rotation, adhering to a follow-the-sun model
- Identify and address production issues independently; lead incident management when necessary
- Monitor system availability, latency, and health metrics
- Establish and monitor Service Level Indicators (SLIs) and Service Level Objectives (SLOs)
- Conduct thorough postmortem analyses without assigning blame and ensure permanent fixes are in place
- Design and sustain infrastructure through Terraform and automation scripts
- Contribute directly to AWS infrastructure management
- Consistently advance reliability, scalability, security, and cost-effectiveness
