Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field - Proven experience in product design and development, particularly in automotive components - Strong knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes related to seating systems - Proficiency in 3D CAD software and engineering documentation tools - Excellent project management and problem-solving skills - Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams - Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards for automotive components

Responsibilities

- Oversee the design and release process for headrest and armrest components from initial concept to mass production - Establish and maintain technical specifications and engineering standards for these systems - Manage the packaging and integration of assemblies into complete seating structures while ensuring compliance with safety and ergonomics - Generate and update engineering documentation within Stellantis systems, including part numbers and CAD data - Collaborate with suppliers on design proposals and contribute to the development of design failure mode effects analysis (DFMEAs) and validation plans - Execute and manage validation tests to ensure durability and regulatory compliance for headrest and armrest systems - Analyze test results, troubleshoot issues, and implement design improvements as necessary - Provide support during vehicle builds by addressing fit and functional concerns swiftly - Cooperate with diverse teams to ensure effective integration and optimal component performance - Supervise engineering changes and strive for continuous improvements in current production programs - Research and benchmark seating technologies to support innovative development strategies for headrest and armrest systems
