Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field
- Proven experience in vehicle body engineering or a similar discipline
- Strong knowledge of design, development, and validation processes for closure systems
- Proficiency in coordinating cross-functional teams and managing projects
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and supplier collaboration
- Experience in testing and validating engineering solutions
Responsibilities
- Lead engineering teams in the design and development of front-end body closure systems from initial concept to production
- Oversee performance metrics for closure systems, ensuring specifications on fit, sealing, stiffness, noise, durability, ergonomics, and safety are met
- Manage project timelines and deliverables to align with vehicle program milestones
- Facilitate cross-functional design reviews and ensure compliance with best practices and engineering standards
- Guide teams in the development and release of closure system components such as hoods, hinges, struts, and fenders
- Ensure all designs meet safety, regulatory, and vehicle packaging requirements
- Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing teams on design for manufacturability and assembly
- Define and support validation and testing protocols, including durability and environmental sealing tests
- Provide support during prototype and pre-production stages, addressing engineering challenges as they arise
