Requirements
Must:

- Understanding of DFMEA and DVP processes
- Knowledge of cost and weight optimization techniques
- Experience interfacing with suppliers and internal teams
- Capability to manage project timelines and deliverables
- High level competency in component level regulatory compliance requirements
- Familiarity with vehicle assembly plants and manufacturing builds
- Experience in direct supplier collaboration and oversight
Responsibilities
- Design and develop body closure systems from concept to production
- Create and refine CAD models, and conduct structural analysis
- Collaborate with CAE teams for virtual testing and validation
- Select materials to optimize strength, weight, and cost
- Coordinate with various teams to ensure seamless integration
- Identify opportunities for reducing weight and costs without compromising quality
- Author and manage Performance Specifications and Design Validation Test Plans
- Review and approve suppliers Design Failure Mode Effects Analysis
- Implement lessons learned from previous product development
- Monitor timelines and deliverables across multiple Program Teams
- Interface with engineering teams for system functional requirements
- Support quality initiatives and warranty targets
- Communicate product development status regularly through updates and presentations
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements through collaboration with suppliers
- Harmonize designs and documentation with global team members
- Guide suppliers in the development and testing of components
