Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field
- Experience in system integration and balancing of mechanical components
- Strong knowledge of transmission and driveline products
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and projects
- Proficient in coordinating design reviews and engineering validations
- Familiarity with DFMEA and DRBFM processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with BOM management and assembly processes
- Ability to lead cost reduction initiatives and optimization efforts
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Previous experience in automotive or heavy equipment industries is a plus
Responsibilities
- Assume responsibility for the integration and system balancing of transmission and driveline components
- Engage with individual Centers of Excellence (COEs) to ensure collaborative outcomes
- Coordinate manufacturing processes and supplier interactions
- Schedule hardware design reviews across the Program Review Committee (PRC) and evaluate design proposals from Design Release Engineers (DRE)
- Organize reviews with the Virtual Analysis/CAE team to complete Virtual Design Verification Plans (DVP) prior to prototype orders
- Oversee Transmission and driveline system reviews and interface DFMEA/DRBFM assessments to maintain transparency and cohesive design controls
- Manage assembly Part# Complexity Charts for all Axle & Driveline systems while providing a clear definition of each assembly
- Direct Build Readiness Team (BRT) for prototype orders to ensure timely hardware procurement
- Coordinate Bill of Materials (BOM) and experimental builds with the ACE team
- Lead build readiness activities, including testing fixtures and dyno support
- Assist the Chief Engineer and ACE in developing Financial Tracking Estimations (FTE) for new programs
- Review and authorize change notices while ensuring documentation updates are timely and accurate
- spearhead Technical Cost Reductions (TCRs) and Value Optimization (VO) alignment across teams
- Manage lessons learned documents for programs and deliver timely updates to Technical Specialists
- Regularly check the validation completion status of the transmission and driveline systems with the DVC team
- Coordinate DRBTR reviews and manage follow-up items as necessary
- Lead cross-functional teams on Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives and oversee progress tracking
- Address resource issues as required and report to CE and Senior Managers for PRC
- Participate in special projects as needed
