Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience in the automotive industry
- Prior design release experience
- Strong understanding of integrated circuits and electronic components
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills
- Proficient in change management and milestone tracking
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Experience managing part specifications and validation plans
Responsibilities
- Oversee the design and release process for EDM components, ensuring thorough documentation and effective change management
- Conduct design reviews to validate component packaging within the EDMs and in relation to vehicle and surrounding components
- Work closely with CAE teams to confirm functional objectives align with real-world outcomes
- Assist in concept and pre-production builds, facilitating testing and evaluation
- Collaborate with hardware, software, manufacturing, and quality teams for accurate and timely design releases
- Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders to manage specifications, drawings, and validation plans
- Utilize knowledge of electronic components to aid in design choices and resolve issues
- Develop and maintain release documentation, including BOMs and engineering change notices
- Engage in design reviews, offering technical insights to ensure manufacturable and serviceable designs
