Control Board Design Release Engineer

- Lead development and validation of control board products for electric vehicle platforms including mHEV, HEV, PHEV, and BEV - Oversee a global team of Design Release Engineers (DREs) to deliver Power Inverter Module Control and Gate Driver Boards - Recruit and mentor new engineers in the control board and gate driver board development processes - Assist with local testing and debugging of control boards as needed - Collaborate with subject matter experts to design cost-effective and reliable control boards - Manage sourcing activities for Power Inverter Module Control Boards, conducting supplier reviews and evaluations - Review and authorize Change Notices for design modifications - Coordinate with the development team to integrate control boards within the Power Inverter Module and Electronic Drive Module - Create Component Specifications based on requirements for durability, warranty, safety, and performance - Participate in supplier assessments with DREs and technical experts - Work with suppliers and manufacturing partners to ensure robust designs that meet customer specifications - Engage in post-test inspections, conducting failure analyses, and recommending design changes - Monitor the status of component development, verification, and production processes - Support issue resolution across technical, program, production, and financial fronts - Report on development progress during team meetings
