Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology or a related discipline
- 3+ years of relevant experience in IT Operations or a similar role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- ITIL Foundation Certification or equivalent knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks preferred
- Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies
- Advanced expertise in establishing and defining monitoring processes (Zabbix, Grafana, ServiceNow, etc.)
- Proven ability to lead or mentor an IT operations team
- 1–2 years of experience in or closely collaborating with a Network Operations Center (NOC), Command Center, or similar operational setting
- Strong understanding of event monitoring tools, processes, and incident/problem management best practices
Responsibilities
- Lead initiatives to boost monitoring and observability capabilities across IT systems like Zabbix, Grafana, and Azure Monitor
- Mentor and guide junior analysts and team members
- Contribute to strategic planning and the continuous enhancement of monitoring processes and tools
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align monitoring strategies with organizational objectives
- Gather, index, search, and analyze data from various sources
- Create queries and reports to enhance operational visibility and decision-making
- Execute advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for intricate technical challenges
- Stay informed on monitoring and observability standards and best practices
- Adhere to Change Management procedures for the maintenance and operation of IT tools
- Demonstrate knowledge of Project Management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall frameworks
- Monitor assigned systems and applications to evaluate operating efficiency and ensure system security
- Organize and actively participate in observability-focused meetings to facilitate team development and alignment
- Provide after-hours support for major observability escalations, ensuring continuous visibility into system health
- Guarantee that documentation of observability configurations, alert logic, and platform integrations is up to date and accessible
- Perform additional duties as assigned
