Requirements

Must:
- Associates degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field OR equivalent hands-on experience - Minimum of five (5) years experience in enterprise networking support - Familiarity with Layer 3 networking concepts (routing, switching, VLANs, VRFs) - Background in firewalls, VPNs, and wireless technologies - Capability to diagnose and resolve intricate network challenges autonomously - Valid Class C Georgia Drivers License with a satisfactory motor vehicle record - Industry certifications such as CCNA or CCNP are preferred

Responsibilities

- Design, engineer, and implement comprehensive enterprise network solutions across LAN, WAN, wireless, and data center settings - Lead significant networking initiatives including migrations, new deployments, and infrastructure overhauls - Engineer and manage advanced routing, switching, and firewall policies (BGP, OSPF, VRF, NGFW, VPN/IPSec) - Collaborate with security teams to craft and enforce network security frameworks, segmentation approaches, and monitoring tactics - Develop and uphold high-availability and disaster recovery plans for crucial systems - Actively assess and enhance network performance, scalability, and reliability - Serve as the primary point of escalation for complex network and telecommunications issues - Research and assess emerging technologies, offering recommendations for adoption to leadership - Create and maintain network architecture diagrams, standards, and documentation - Mentor and provide guidance to administrators and junior personnel - Contribute to the safe, fair, and secure electoral process for Georgias citizens - Perform additional duties as assigned
