Requirements
Must:
- We require a BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
- We are looking for 5–7+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or a closely related discipline.
- We need proficiency in Python or R, SQL, and working with relational databases.
- We expect a solid understanding of machine learning and statistical methods such as regression, decision trees, classification, causal inference, and clustering.
- We value experience with cloud-based data and analytics platforms such as Azure or AWS.
- We need proven experience leading and coaching a team, along with strong written and verbal communication skills and strong attention to detail.
- We prefer an MS in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Psychology, or Quantitative Social Science, or equivalent advanced experience.
- We prefer 8+ years of experience leading a small team of about 2–4 people and growing technical talent.
- We prefer experience with production machine learning practices, including shared codebases, package development, repositories, and SDLC best practices, as well as distributed processing or modern platforms such as Databricks.
- We prefer experience with hyperparameter tuning and ongoing model monitoring, including measurement, drift, and stability.
Responsibilities
- We will have you lead and grow a high-performing team by coaching partners, building development plans, and fostering a culture of execution, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- We will rely on you to guide end-to-end data science work, from problem definition and data preparation through modeling, evaluation, and operationalizing insights and models.
- We will expect you to establish and scale best practices across coding standards, version control, documentation, data security, and analytics and engineering methods.
- We will ask you to remove obstacles and align cross-functional partners to ensure scalable, measurable, and business-ready solutions.
- We will count on you to help ensure insights and machine learning outputs are adopted into day-to-day business workflows.
