Requirements
Must:
- Over 8 years of professional experience in software development, with a proven history of delivering scalable data solutions in enterprise settings.
- More than 5 years of practical experience with SQL, focusing on complex queries, performance enhancement, and working with extensive datasets.
- At least 4 years of experience constructing data pipelines utilizing Spark, with a deep understanding of distributed processing and optimization methods.
- A minimum of 3 years working with Databricks, covering notebooks, Delta Lake, job orchestration, cluster management, and CI/CD integration.
- Familiarity with designing and supporting data ingestion frameworks (both batch and streaming) from various source systems like APIs, files, databases, and event streams.
- Strong skills in BI and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and Alteryx, with the ability to oversee dashboard development and enforce best practices in visualization.
- Hands-on experience with workflow and project management tools, particularly Jira, for sprint planning, backlog oversight, and cross-team coordination.
- Knowledge of data quality, data validation, and metadata management practices, including setting up automated checks and monitoring systems.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- 2 years of experience leading teams of four or more software developers.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and enhancement of robust data ingestion pipelines, collaborating with technical product managers, analysts, engineering teams, and stakeholders to create, test, and deploy data pipelines within our analytics platforms.
- Guide the comprehensive lifecycle of dashboard and analytics product development.
- Architect scalable, reliable, and secure data engineering solutions using Databricks, Spark, SQL, and other cloud-native tools to fulfill enterprise reporting and advanced analytics requirements.
- Act as a technical leader within the team by providing hands-on development support, conducting code reviews, and offering architectural guidance and mentorship to analysts and engineers.
- Promote engineering best practices including CI/CD, automated testing, version control, monitoring, and performance optimization across data pipelines and analytics applications.
