Requirements
Must:
- A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in user experience roles with a portfolio that showcases web and mobile applications.
- A degree or diploma in business, design, or marketing.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
- Experience with user research, persona development, usability testing, and making data-driven design choices.
- Willingness to complete insurance courses to obtain a license in British Columbia and Ontario.
- Solid understanding of responsive design principles, wireframing, prototyping, and interaction design.
- Familiarity with front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
- Experience in the insurance or fintech industry is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively present and justify design decisions to stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and superior organizational capabilities.
- Ability to provide and receive constructive feedback, with a natural curiosity and a love for learning.
Responsibilities
- Analyze current customer journeys and touchpoints, such as the online quote process, email communications, and phone systems, suggesting improvements.
- Evaluate Square Ones internal policy management system and recommend enhancements.
- Lead the user experience design initiatives for our website and mobile applications, ensuring all user interactions are smooth and effective.
- Conduct user research and analyze data to understand customer needs, pain points, and behaviors specific to the Canadian insurance market.
- Perform usability testing and gather user feedback to iteratively refine and enhance design solutions.
- Create wireframes, user flows, and mock-ups that ensure consistent experiences across various devices.
- Ensure designs comply with accessibility standards, providing an inclusive experience for all users.
- Stay informed about changes in user experience trends and monitor competitor approaches.
