Requirements
Must:
- Active Secret or Top Secret clearance required
- U.S. citizenship is mandatory
- 10-15 years of professional software development experience
- At least 3 years in a senior or lead role managing major application components or full systems from design to production
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services: App Services, Functions, SQL DB, AKS, Azure DevOps, Azure AD/Entra ID, Key Vault, Azure Policy
- Proficiency in at least one modern backend technology stack including C# (.NET 8+), Java (Spring Boot 3+), Node.js (TypeScript/NestJS), or Python (Django/FastAPI)
- Solid frontend skills with frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue, or Blazor
- Advanced SQL expertise: query optimization, indexing strategies, and stored procedures (PostgreSQL or Azure SQL)
- Experience in developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure Pipelines
- Fundamental knowledge of containers and orchestration: Docker and Kubernetes
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Azure Bicep/ARM templates
- Practical understanding of security protocols: OAuth 2.0/OpenID Connect, encryption practices in transit and at rest, and secure coding techniques
- Proficient in Git and familiar with pull request-based development workflows
Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and sustain the core platform on Azure with a specific pathway to Azure Government
- Implement new features guided by the product direction from leadership and the technical advisor
- Oversee the CI/CD pipeline including code reviews, automated testing, and deployment processes
- Apply security hardening consistent with NIST 800-171 controls and DISA STIGs
- Design and implement access controls, audit logging, and encryption standards essential for DFARS compliance
- Maintain thorough documentation of architectural decisions, deployment methods, system setups, and operational handbooks
- Lead technical preparations for 3PAO assessments and ATO submissions
- Engage in sprint planning, daily standup meetings, product evaluations, and architecture review sessions
- Carry out knowledge transfer activities and manage documentation to prevent single points of failure
