Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related discipline
- 1–2 years of professional experience in information security
- Strong understanding of NIST 800‑171 or similar regulatory frameworks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with emphasis on documentation
- Analytical mindset with effective problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to work collaboratively across various teams
- Familiarity with CMMC requirements and assessment procedures (preferred)
- Experience with DFARS, FedRAMP, ISO 27001, or similar frameworks (preferred)
- Background in supporting third-party audits or readiness evaluations (preferred)
- Knowledge of SIEM tools, network monitoring, and Microsoft security technologies (Active Directory, Azure/Entra, M365) (preferred)
- Cybersecurity certifications such as Security+, CISM, CISSP, or SSCP (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Support the execution, ongoing management, and enhancement of CMMC compliance efforts
- Perform security gap assessments and risk analyses, documenting observations and proposing remediation strategies
- Safeguard systems and information assets through administrative, technical, and procedural controls
- Develop, maintain, and document security policies, procedures, and standards aligned with NIST 800‑171
- Monitor, investigate, and respond to security incidents, vulnerabilities, and compliance findings
- Maintain audit-ready documentation and evidence for evaluations and ongoing compliance
- Develop and deliver security awareness and compliance training
- Collaborate with IT and business teams to establish, validate, and supervise security controls
- Coordinate and assist in both internal and external cybersecurity audits
- Stay informed about evolving cybersecurity threats, tools, and regulatory standards
- Support vendor risk assessments and third-party security reviews
- Assist with user requests related to security configuration and enhancements
