Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, math, or a related STEM field, or 3+ years of professional software development experience in lieu of a degree
- At least 1 year of development experience in C or C++
- Familiarity with the IEEE 802.11 wireless standard and networking protocols (UDP, TCP/IP, etc.)
- Experience with embedded software in networking equipment
- Strong foundational knowledge of networks, embedded systems, mathematics, and physics (preferred)
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities (preferred)
- Proven experience in testing Wi-Fi for performance or stability (preferred)
- Understanding of continuous integration, deployment, and monitoring processes (preferred)
- Knowledge of DHCP, IPv4, IPv6, Linux bridge, and network stack internals (preferred)
- Background with networking kernel modules and drivers (preferred)
- Experience managing cross-team projects (preferred)
- Awareness of security challenges in distributed systems and internet services (preferred)
- Proficiency in Golang and Python (preferred)
- Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with ever-changing demands (preferred)
- Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as required
Responsibilities
- Lead the Wi-Fi software and product roadmap
- Debug and enhance kernel-level system performance
- Collaborate with RF and EE engineers to refine testing procedures for software and hardware
- Mentor fellow software engineers and foster a positive work culture
- Enhance Wi-Fi mesh performance
- Create innovative tools that support more frequent and reliable software deployment, testing, and data analysis within a continuous integration framework
