Test Engineer - Falcon

- Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, or a related engineering discipline - Minimum of 1 year of hands-on testing experience, including internships and extracurricular activities qualifying - 3+ years of practical experience with mechanical, structural, propulsion, fluid systems, flight hardware, or test operations (preferred) - Ability to adapt in situations with vague requirements and tight deadlines - Strong personal initiative and self-motivation - Familiarity with hazardous systems (high pressure, cryogenic, flammable, hypergolic, pyrophoric) - Proficiency with instrumentation and control (e.g., programmable logic control, high-speed data collection, pressure sensors, thermocouples, strain gauges) - Experience in coding for data analytics (Python, R, MATLAB, NI LabVIEW) - Proven capability in root cause analysis and failure analysis - Skill in writing and refining high-risk technical procedures and operational instructions - Competence in interpreting technical manuals, data reports, and schematics - Strong interpersonal abilities and efficacy in a team dynamic, achieving goals with limited resources and under time constraints - Physical dexterity to work with flight hardware in confined spaces - Capacity for physical activity, including prolonged sitting or standing and lifting materials up to 25 lbs. - Willingness to work in environments with exposure to fumes, noise, and weather extremes (heat, cold, rain)
