Requirements

Must:
- BICSI RCDD certification or a degree in a STEM field - Over 2 years of experience in industrial electrical engineering and medium to high voltage power systems - 5+ years in designing or building commercial or industrial telecommunication systems, including LAN, WAN, WIFI, LTE, and ISP/OSP structured cabling - Experience with structured cabling for high-density commercial settings - Knowledge of low voltage AC and DC applications for powering telecom equipment - Familiarity with critical power infrastructure, including UPS systems and backup generators - Proficient in creating process/design solutions with minimal operational disruption - Capability to swiftly diagnose and aid technicians in troubleshooting - Ability to perform under pressure in high-stress environments - Strong attention to detail, recognizing system interactions to avert issues - Beginner to intermediate skills in AutoCAD/Revit - Knowledge of National Electric Code, NFPA, and International Building Code standards - Understanding of national cabling standards (ANSI/TIA/BICSI) - Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced setting - Comprehensive understanding of construction project management principles, including scheduling and budgeting.

Responsibilities

- Provide engineering support for the design, operation, enhancement, and troubleshooting of all fiber optic and copper-supported network infrastructures - Coordinate maintenance, construction, and production teams to minimize downtime impact - Lead telecommunication projects utilizing design change requests and advanced detection methods - Diagnose electrical system issues, perform breaker coordination, and monitor electrical load capacities - Manage material procurement for extensive projects - Draft, negotiate, and oversee construction contracts with subcontractors until project completion - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for system design, optimization, and maintenance - Offer telecom engineering assistance to field technicians for equipment troubleshooting - Supervise installation, operation, and maintenance of equipment to meet operational requirements.
