Requirements
Must:
- A bachelors degree in computer science, data science, engineering, mathematics, physics, or a related scientific field; or at least 2 years of professional experience in software development in lieu of degree.
- Over 1 year of software development experience using C++ or C programming languages.
- Must possess an active Top Secret, Top Secret SCI, or DOE Level Q security clearance.
- Hands-on experience with microcontrollers is preferred.
- Strong grasp of software engineering principles in C++.
- Fundamental understanding of computer architecture and networking.
- Familiarity with NXP microcontrollers is a plus.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards in software development, including following established processes and best practices.
- Experience with Linux and bash shell scripting is desirable.
- Understanding of testing methodologies is beneficial.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary settings.
- Availability to work extended hours and weekends as required to meet important deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop high-quality software and firmware for common processors and microcontrollers.
- Support launch operations to ensure mission success.
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Initialize and validate devices intended for communication in space.
- Investigate and analyze test results and bugs that require detailed examination.
- Engage in hands-on integration and troubleshooting of flight hardware and software systems.
- Adapt to a dynamic work environment with evolving needs and challenges.
