Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in computer science, aerospace engineering, physics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Python, or similar.
- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with developing and deploying HTTP servers for scalable web operations and monitoring applications.
- Knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL or CockroachDB.
- Understanding of computer architecture, networks, and inter-process communications (RESTful APIs, gRPC).
- Competence in version control, testing, continuous integration, deployment, and monitoring.
- Skills in debugging, performance optimization, and unit testing.
- General understanding of spacecraft flight disciplines, including structures, propulsion, avionics, and flight software.
- Advanced degree (Masters or PhD) in an engineering discipline, computer science, or physics is preferred.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with evolving needs.
- Capability to work collaboratively in a team and take initiative.
- Active Top Secret, Top Secret SCI, or DOE Level Q clearance, or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities
- Manage the entire lifecycle of the software and systems you develop, encompassing design, testing, deployment, and support.
- Create robust and reliable software for the monitoring and tasking of satellites in low-earth orbit.
- Design and implement effective and secure flight software for satellites.
- Develop automated ground-based software systems that integrate advanced data processing with satellite management.
- Collaborate across disciplines to diagnose on-orbit issues and devise permanent solutions to meet mission objectives.
- Lead on-orbit satellite operations throughout all flight phases, including on-call rotations, satellite commands, and data assessments to ensure continuous operation of our vehicles and networks.
