Software Engineer, Product Development

- Design and create robust software systems that manage numerous satellites in low Earth orbit - Oversee software development from inception through completion including identifying core needs, prototyping, programming, testing, and implementing in orbit - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, design, and develop next-generation satellite technologies, including advanced sensors and inter-satellite communications - Engage directly with end users to deliver superior products and data that fulfill their requirements - Produce high-quality Linux-based C++ software for various processors and microcontrollers, such as ARM, PowerPC, and x86 - Innovate embedded cryptographic solutions for satellites and terrestrial equipment - Engineer high-performance networks to convey sensor data to end users - Create automated ground-based software systems that integrate intelligent data processing with satellite command and control - Develop models and simulations for testing flight-like vehicle software, analyzing network performance, or advancing research and development initiatives - Create tools for executing tests across multiple environments including virtualized hardware, real hardware-in-the-loop, and vehicle-in-the-loop testing
