Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in computer science or a STEM field, or equivalent professional experience in software development
- 1+ years of software development experience through professional roles or internships, or 3+ years of professional experience without a degree
- Experience in programming languages such as Python, Go, or C++
- Familiarity with DevOps, site reliability engineering, or systems administration is preferred
- Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, continuous integration, deployment, and monitoring systems
- Proficiency with relevant technologies including build systems like Bazel, Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, and GitOps
- Excellent debugging, performance tuning, and unit testing skills
- Experience managing large-scale systems
- Background in developing and deploying practical software applications/projects
- Creative problem-solving abilities and strong analytical skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment with evolving needs and expectations
- Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as necessary
Responsibilities
- Develop tools and processes that facilitate swift, accurate, and user-friendly development and deployment systems
- Conduct thorough software validation, utilizing virtualized, hardware-in-the-loop, and on-orbit test environments
- Monitor systems and perform data analysis to support a continuous integration and release framework
- Engage in hands-on integration and troubleshooting across the complete Starlink stack
- Create and oversee core infrastructure including databases and software libraries
- Identify opportunities for enhancement and devise innovative solutions to boost developer velocity
