Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, math, or a STEM field, with a minimum of 2 years of software development experience; or over 4 years of professional software building experience in place of a degree
- Proficiency in writing production code using C++
- Familiarity with modern continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) methodologies
- Experience working in a Linux operating system
Responsibilities
- Design and develop software for a state-of-the-art, production-level metal 3D printing system
- Partner with automation and controls engineers to integrate software with motion and control systems
- Collaborate with additive manufacturing engineers to enhance print process quality and speed through software and hardware innovations
- Create production-ready control software and algorithms for laser and control systems in the printers
- Work directly with production engineers and technicians to deliver optimal solutions based on fundamental principles
- Engage in or lead design reviews with colleagues and stakeholders to evaluate various technological options
- Review code created by other developers, providing feedback to ensure adherence to best practices such as style guidelines, proper code management, accuracy, testability, and efficiency
