Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors, Masters, or PhD degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or a related STEM field.
- Over 5 years of experience in one or more of the following: wireless signal processing, modem systems design, wireless systems engineering, digital signal processing (DSP), or physical layer processing (L1).
- More than 5 years of experience in C/C++ programming.
- Familiarity with 3GPP 4G/5G (LTE/NR) physical layer design or similar broadband OFDM waveforms such as WiMAX, 802.11 WiFi, DVB-S2, DVB-C, or 5G non-terrestrial networks.
- Knowledge of forward error correction (FEC) coding concepts.
- Basic understanding of MAC layer (medium access control, L2).
- Experience in developing and optimizing complex signal processing algorithms in both fixed and floating point.
- Proficient in using the Linux command line, git version control, and python programming.
- Experience with software defined radio (SDR).
- Ability to support products throughout the entire release cycle, including commercial deployment.
- Strong debugging and performance optimization skills, along with superior analytical abilities and engineering principles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Capability to thrive in a dynamic environment with evolving demands and requirements.
- Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as required.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop physical layer (PHY) algorithms for satellite-based 4G/5G (LTE/NR) eNodeB/gNodeB.
- Create optimized signal processing algorithms to run on resource-constrained CPUs.
- Build models and conduct simulations to evaluate and validate overall system performance, including modem capabilities.
- Design, implement, test, maintain, and document the wireless PHY and MAC layers of the protocol stack.
- Identify and troubleshoot complex performance issues within the wireless PHY and MAC layers.
- Engage in architecture, design, and code reviews; contribute to system dimensioning and algorithm design for next-generation hardware.
