Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related STEM field
- Over 5 years of experience in software development using C, C++, or Python; or comprehensive full stack software development expertise
- Proficient in Linux and Windows operating systems
- Familiarity with configuration management and version control systems
- Experience with continuous integration and agile development methodologies
- Proven track record in automating processes and testing to enhance manufacturing efficiency and decrease production times
- Knowledge in control feedback loop design and execution
- Skilled in numerical analysis techniques and signal processing across multiple domains
- In-depth understanding of various digital and analog interfaces including GPIB, USB, VISA, TCP/IP, VLAN, CAN bus, SPI, I2C, Modbus, and analog-to-digital conversion
- Experienced in troubleshooting software and hardware integrations such as network devices and lab instruments
- Knowledge of spacecraft fluid systems and high power electrical systems
- Background in embedded hardware product development
- Developed and deployed software used in real-world applications/projects
- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience in RF system-level design, modems, and diagnostic test tools
- Strong troubleshooting, debugging, performance optimization, and unit testing abilities
- Knowledgeable in continuous integration and monitoring practices
- Solid foundational understanding of networks, electronics, RF communications, optics, mathematics, and physics
- Capability and willingness to obtain a Top-Secret clearance
- Availability to work extended hours and weekends when necessary
Responsibilities
- Create modular and reusable test and automation software in Python and related languages for manufacturing and engineering design validation
- Develop automation software that interfaces with flight hardware, testing equipment, instrumentation, and production documentation systems
- Design software enabling test execution across diverse environments including hardware-in-the-loop (HITL) and virtual hardware simulations
- Innovate custom automation solutions addressing engineering and manufacturing obstacles using embedded electronics and novel hardware
- Formulate algorithms for analyzing complex test data to verify component acceptance criteria
- Maintain and troubleshoot existing automation infrastructure while collaborating with partner teams to identify and rectify root causes of issues
- Outline and implement project plans, oversee milestones, and conduct reviews to ensure reliable test systems are delivered for production
- Create tools that facilitate more frequent and dependable software deployment, test execution, and data analysis as part of a continuous integration and release framework
