Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in computer science, data science, engineering, mathematics, physics, or a related field; OR 7+ years of software development experience in lieu of a degree
- 5+ years of experience in full stack development or software engineering
- Proficient in programming languages such as C#, Java, or comparable languages
- Experienced in designing, building, and enhancing large-scale distributed systems for high-volume data processing and querying
- Practical experience with Kubernetes and containerized deployments
- Familiar with Linux operating systems, version control, testing methods, CI/CD practices, deployment procedures, and monitoring systems
- Available to work extended hours and weekends when necessary
Responsibilities
- Design, construct, and manage a robust and distributed telemetry platform capable of processing, storing, and querying petabyte-scale data
- Collaborate with fellow engineers to refine architecture, design choices, and code reviews
- Work closely with satellite and rocket teams to comprehend mission requirements and convert them into sophisticated technical solutions
- Assume complete end-to-end responsibility for the software and hardware stack
- Analyze business challenges, develop efficient solutions, and utilize first principles thinking
