Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree in computer science, information systems/IT, or engineering discipline, or equivalent experience - 5+ years of professional experience in systems administration, site reliability engineering, or DevOps; or 7+ years of equivalent experience without a degree - Minimum of 2 years experience with Linux operating systems - Proficiency with Terraform, Ansible, or similar infrastructure management tools - Familiarity with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes - Experience in Bash, Python, or other scripting languages - Development experience in Python, C++, or C - 3+ years of experience with Python and Python-based frameworks (preferred) - Strong comprehension of virtualization and hypervisor technologies (preferred) - Knowledge of the Linux boot process and system configuration (preferred) - Understanding of testing, continuous integration, build, deployment, and monitoring processes (preferred) - Knowledge in database management and data modeling (preferred)

Responsibilities

- Create automation to deploy and manage on-premise computing resources - Oversee and manage core infrastructure including databases, monitoring systems, and distributed storage - Collaborate closely with software engineers to build scalable, operational, and maintainable products - Enhance the entire service lifecycle, from design to deployment and continuous improvement - Develop tools and processes that facilitate swift, accurate, and user-friendly development and deployment - Perform comprehensive software validation, including virtualized, hardware-in-the-loop, and on-orbit testing - Conduct monitoring and data analysis to support continuous integration and release processes - Engage in hands-on integration and troubleshooting of the entire Starlink architecture - Establish and maintain core components such as databases and software libraries - Identify opportunities for enhancement and architect innovative solutions to boost developer efficiency
