Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or another STEM field with a minimum of 5 years in software development; OR 7+ years of relevant professional experience without a degree
- Proficiency in software development with C/C++, Python, or similar programming languages
- Capable of effectively working in dynamic environments with evolving objectives
- Strong initiative and communication skills for independent and collaborative work
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Top Secret or Top Secret SCI clearance
Responsibilities
- Develop robust software systems for managing numerous satellites in low Earth orbit
- Utilize software architecture to enhance satellite constellation performance and security for various user needs
- Oversee the software lifecycle from requirements gathering to prototyping, development, testing, and orbital deployment
- Collaborate with diverse teams to innovate and create advanced satellite capabilities, such as state-of-the-art sensors and inter-satellite communications
- Write high-quality Linux-based C++ code for various processors and microcontrollers
- Implement networking solutions to manage data flow between satellites, ground stations, and users
- Construct automated ground systems that integrate smart data processing with satellite command and control
- Design models and simulations for testing vehicle software and analyzing network performance
- Create tools for test execution across different environments, including virtual and physical setups
- Develop new systems for frequent and reliable software releases, tests, and data analysis in a continuous integration framework
