Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree in computer science, information systems/IT, or a related engineering field with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in systems administration, site reliability engineering, or DevOps, or 7+ years of relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree - Minimum of 2 years of practical experience working with Linux operating systems - Proficient in Terraform, Ansible, or similar infrastructure management tools - Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes - Skilled in scripting languages including Bash and Python - Development experience in languages such as Python, Go, C++, or C - Additional requirements include willingness to work extended hours and weekends as necessary

Responsibilities

- Create automation for the deployment and management of on-premise computing resources - Oversee and maintain core infrastructure components like databases, monitoring systems, and distributed storage solutions - Collaborate closely with software engineers to develop products that are highly scalable, operable, and maintainable - Participate in and enhance the complete lifecycle of hardware, from design and deployment to operation, scaling, and retirement - Innovate tools and processes that streamline development and deployment systems for efficiency - Engage in hands-on integration and troubleshooting throughout the entire Starlink infrastructure - Establish and manage essential infrastructure including databases and software libraries - Detect areas needing enhancement and devise innovative solutions to boost developer productivity
